A good marriage must be created

Marriage is an art; It requires knowing that the little things are the big things. Its never being to old to hold hands like you are now. It’s never going to sleep angry. It’s not only marrying the right partner, it is also being the right partner.

You must be each others best friend, confidant, lover, critic, teacher…But most important and hardest of all of these is to be a good listener.

Happiness in marriage is not something that just happens. It is at no time taking the other for granted; Its remembering to say “I Love You” at least once a day. Always speak words of appreciation and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways to each other, for gratitude is an acknowledgement of our dependence on each other.

Do not look for perfection in each other…

But cultivate flexibility, patience, understanding and a sense of humor.

AND Remember to cherish each others dreams, ideas and passions and hopes for this is what drew you to each other in the beginning. This is the foundation for a Long and Happy marriage.
